If the management of agricultural nitrogen interests you, please reserve March 28, 2014 on your calendar. That is the date for a day-long event featuring speakers and topics that will address the knowns and unkowns of nitrogen management in Wisconsin’s environment. The focus will be on surface water and groundwater issues, but will also address atmospheric emissions of nitrogen. The summit is being convened by the UW-Madison College of Agricultural and Life Sciences in partnership with UW-Extension, Wisconsin Dept. of Natural Resources, Wisconsin Dept. of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service, USDA-Agricultural Research Service, and others. The event will be held at the Ebling Symposium Center (Microbial Sciences Building) on the UW-Madison campus.
