Wisconsin Certified Soil Testing Laboratories
John Peters, Director – UW Soil Testing Laboratories
As of April 2013, there are six laboratories certified by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection for soil testing in Wisconsin. For the 2013 cropping season, all WDATCP certified laboratories will be using the updated nutrient application guidelines from recently revised publication A2809 that was released in November 2012. To become certified, laboratories must meet certain analytical performance standards and are also required to:
- Use analytical procedures outlined in the most recent edition of Wisconsin Soil Testing and Plant Analysis Procedures, Department of Soil Science, UW-Madison.
- Provide soil test recommendations for lime and nutrients as prescribed in the most recent edition of Soil Test Recommendations for Field, Vegetable, and Fruit Crops (A2809), Department of Soil Science, UW-Madison.
The names and contact information for the certified laboratories are listed below.
