An upcoming field day on August 30th in Green County will provide insight into limiting the spread of weed seeds. The field day will start with Dr. Rodrigo Werle (UW-Madison and Extension Cropping Systems Weed Scientist) discussing weed seed production, viability, and the spread of common weeds. Then there will be a demonstration of how to clean a combine to limit the spread of weed seeds. The field day will begin at 10:00 a.m. and conclude by 12:00 p.m. The field day is being hosted by Tim and Bryon Feller at N6437 Schneeberger Rd., Monticello, WI. The field day is free.
